Abstract
In this talk I will talk about the notion of Human-Agent Collectives that are systems that coalesce humans and software and robotic agents in seamless ways. I will elaborate on a number of applications that I have developed with a number of my students and colleagues over the last 6 years. These include solutions to IoT applications involving smart thermostats and smart meters, disaster response systems that utilise the best of human and machine intelligence, and crowdsourcing systems that harness human intelligence in economically and computationally efficient ways. I will also detail a number of key research challenges that remain.
This seminar will be held in English.
