By train

The main train station in Saint-Étienne is "Chateaucreux".

The closest to the Hubert Curien Laboratory is "Carnot station" (but Chateaucreux station is nearly as reachable by tram). See http://www.sncf.fr

From Chateaucreux station to the Hubert Curien Lab:

Take the tram line number 2 (direction "Terrasse" or "Hôpital Nord") until  "Chaléassière" stop (tram timetable). Look at the map

The Hubert Curien Lab is located near the "Chaléassière" stop.

 

By Plane

To Lyon Saint-Exupéry airport (25 km East of Lyon or 70 km North-East of Saint-Étienne).

The Rhônexpress Express Tram is the fastest and most reliable link between Lyon-Saint-Exupéry Airport and Lyon City Centre (Lyon Part-Dieu Train Station), with a journey of less than 30 minutes with no risk of traffic congestion.

When arriving by train from Lyon Part-Dieu Station to Saint-Étienne, stop at "Gare de Saint-Etienne Chateaucreux". You can then take a city Tram - Line number 2 (direction "Terrasse" or "Hôpital Nord"); the Hubert Curien Lab is located near the "Chaléassière" stop.
