Cryptographic Primitives Characterization Bench: "Evariste" and "Hector" Systems

Equipment :

  • Hector system:  multi FPGAs-ASICs plateform for the characterisation of cryptographic primitives with low-cost (possibly remote) daughter boards, file system and on-board analysis. Eight motherboards and around fifty daughter boards:
  • Xilinx : Spartan 6
  • Altera (Intel) : Cyclone V, Cyclone 10
  • Actel (Microsemi) : SmartFusion2
  • SmartFusion2 + ASICs socket

 

  • Evariste III system:  multi FPGA plateform, with USB2 communication, possibility of injection and measurement on power supplies, numerous LVDS IO and GPIOs. Around twenty motherboards and a hundred daughterboards from 7 different families from the 3 main FPGA manufacturers:
  • Xilinx : Spartan 3, Spartan 6
  • Altera (Intel) : Aria, Cyclone III, Cyclone V
  • Actel (Microsemi) : SmartFusion, SmartFusion2

 

  • High bandwidth Teledyne Lecroy oscilloscopes (4 GHz bandwidth, 40 GS/s sampling rate)

  • 4 GHz differential probes

  • High-precision function generators: 1 µHz - 1 GHz, 2 channels possibly modulated, arbitrary function generator

  • -40°C to +180°C programmable and remotely controllable climate chamber

  • Programmable and remotely controllable stabilized power supplies
