"Plasmonic nanoparticles embedded in a dielectric host for diverse applications"
Abstract
Fabrication of plasmonic nanostructures such as Ag, Cu, and Au in a glass matrix using a melt quenching approach followed by ion exchange technique will be a topic of discussion in this work. I will also discuss the applications of these nanostructures in the areas of nonlinear optics, LED, and antibiotic applications. As part of my 7.5 years of hands-on experience with XPS, I will talk about interpreting XPS data to study the chemical states of nanomaterials. In addition, I will briefly discuss the results of my project “Versatile ZnO-based plasmonic semiconductor substrates for biomedical applications”(VEZPA).
This seminar will be held in English.
