Riad SAHLI received the award of the best poster presentation at the LeedsLyon 2017
This prize rewards Riad SAHLI's presentation of the poster entitled "Effect of contact area reduction under shear on static friction", a joint work with Christophe DUCOTTET (Laboratoire Hubert Curien \ Image Science and Computer Vision team), Julien SCHEIBERT and Gael PALLARES (Laboratoire de Tribologie et Dynamique des Systèmes ), Imed Eddine BEN ALI and Samer ALAKHRASS (Laboratoire Ingénierie des Matériaux Polymères). The 2017 edition of LeedsLyon, a symposium of international renown in tribology, was dedicated to the relationship between movement and friction. LeedsLyon 2017 gathered about 60 posters.
Riad SAHLI defended his PhD thesis at Ecole Centrale de Lyon on March 2017 on the sliding of the elastomeric multicontact interfaces through an experimental study by visualization in situ, a work achieved under the supervision of Julien SCHEIBERT and the co-supervision of Christophe DUCOTTET.
