Quentin Bertrand : new CIFAR Global Scholar
Quentin Bertrand, Inria researcher within our Machine Learning team - MALICE group, has been selected as a CIFAR Global Scholar in the Learning in Machines & Brains program.
The Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR) is a globally influential organization that brings together leading researchers to address fundamental questions facing science and society. CIFAR Global Scholars are outstanding early-career researchers chosen through a highly competitive international process. The two-year appointment offers unrestricted research support, mentorship from world-class scientists, expanded professional networks, and dedicated leadership training. Scholars become full members of CIFAR’s collaborative community.
Quentin’s research focuses on generative models and multi-agent learning. He studies how learning algorithms can leverage and interact with synthetic data produced by deep generative models.
This recognition follows Quentin's appointment as a Mila-affiliated researcher in September 2025 and further strengthens his collaboration with the Canadian and Quebec research communities.
Congratulations on this achievement Quentin!
